Biotoxicity of individual metals is well investigated but that of metal mixture, an environmental reality, in the developing metal mixture, is relatively obscure. Experimental evidences had shown that this mixture could give rise to combined effects that were different from the effect of metals one by one. This review provides an overview of recent research on metal mixture toxicity and the methods employed to predict their toxic combined effects. The two established reference models, the concentration-addition model and the independent-addition model, were used for evaluating the combined effect from the biological activities of the metal mixtures. While the reference models had provided reasonable tools for analyzing the combined effects, the actual predictions for binary metal mixtures showed often somewhat less than additive combined effects compared to what has been observed. As the metal bioavailability is oriented by several environmental factors as well as the toxicodynamics of metals is highly compound-specific, the non-interactive combined effects may be confused with different processes of the interactions. Thus, for improving the predictability of combined effects in metal mixture toxicity, numerous qualitative and quantitative analysis are required for the processes governing the toxicokinetics and dynamics of metals in aquatic organisms.  相似文献

Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging hemorrhagic fever in East Asia with case fatality up to 50%. SFTS is caused by SFTSV, a tick borne bunyavirus. 优化水、氮供应是实现作物高产与水肥资源高效利用的有效途径.本文研究了田间试验条件下,水(4500、6750、9000 m3·hm-2)、氮(0、225、330、435、540 kg·hm-2)互作对高密度(≥105000 株·hm-2)滴灌玉米干物质积累、氮素吸收及产量的影响.结果表明: 玉米干物质积累与吸氮量均随灌溉和施氮水平的增加明显升高,当施氮量大于435 kg·hm-2和灌溉量大于9000 m3·hm-2时则呈减少趋势.完熟期玉米干物质积累对灌水的响应表现为W6750(36359 kg·hm-2)>W9000(35077 kg·hm-2)>W4500(33451 kg·hm-2),施氮对玉米吸氮量的变化表现为N435(459.9 kg·hm-2)>N540(458.1 kg·hm-2)>N330(416.3 kg·hm-2)>N225(351.3 kg·hm-2),N435比N330、N220分别升高9.1%、32.7%,N540比N435降低0.6%.在施氮量0~435 kg·hm-2范围内,玉米最大氮素吸收速率随施氮量增加而升高,在施氮量为435 kg·hm-2时达最大(6.57 kg·hm-2·d-1).灌水与施氮均可显著增加玉米产量、穗粒数和穗粒质量,二者有明显的正交互作用,且以氮为主效应.在施氮0~435 kg·hm-2范围内,氮肥利用率随施氮量的增加而升高,此后反而降低;灌溉水分生产率随施氮量升高而增加,随灌水量增加而明显下降,灌溉定额为4500~6750 m3·hm-2时,灌溉水分生产率可达2.57~3.80 kg·m-3.玉米最高产量18072 kg·hm-2的施氮量为567.0 kg·hm-2.最佳经济施氮量为427.9~467.7 kg N·hm-2时,玉米产量在17109~17138 kg·hm-2,氮素偏生产力和氮肥利用率分别达122 kg N·hm-2和45.0%.水氮一体化施肥可实现滴灌玉米高产协同水、氮利用效率的共同提高.  相似文献

Ecological adaptation is the driving force during divergence with gene flow and generates reproductive isolation early in speciation. Although gene flow opposes divergence, local adaptation can be facilitated by factors that prevent the breakup of favorable allelic combinations. We investigated how selection, genetic architecture, and geography have contributed to the maintenance of floral trait divergence and pollinator isolation between parapatric ecotypes of Mimulus aurantiacus. Combining greenhouse, field, and genomic studies, we show that sharp clines in floral traits are maintained by spatially varying selection. Although adaptation breaks down where the ecotypes co‐occur, leading to the formation of a hybrid zone, the largely non‐overlapping distributions of the ecotypes shield them from immigrant genes, facilitating divergence across most of the range. In contrast to the sharp genetic discontinuities observed across most hybrid zones, we observed a gradual cline in genome‐wide divergence and a pattern of isolation by distance across the landscape. Thus, contrary to a long period of allopatry followed by recent re‐contact, our data suggest that floral trait divergence in M. aurantiacus may have evolved with locally restricted, but ongoing gene flow. Therefore, our study reveals how the geographic distribution of an organism can contribute to the evolution of premating isolation in the early stages of divergence with gene flow.  相似文献

The endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRT) pathway drives reverse topology membrane fission events within multiple cellular pathways, including cytokinesis, multivesicular body biogenesis, repair of the plasma membrane, nuclear membrane vesicle formation, and HIV budding. The AAA ATPase Vps4 is recruited to membrane necks shortly before fission, where it catalyzes disassembly of the ESCRT-III lattice. The N-terminal Vps4 microtubule-interacting and trafficking (MIT) domains initially bind the C-terminal MIT-interacting motifs (MIMs) of ESCRT-III subunits, but it is unclear how the enzyme then remodels these substrates in response to ATP hydrolysis. Here, we report quantitative binding studies that demonstrate that residues from helix 5 of the Vps2p subunit of ESCRT-III bind to the central pore of an asymmetric Vps4p hexamer in a manner that is dependent upon the presence of flexible nucleotide analogs that can mimic multiple states in the ATP hydrolysis cycle. We also find that substrate engagement is autoinhibited by the Vps4p MIT domain and that this inhibition is relieved by binding of either Type 1 or Type 2 MIM elements, which bind the Vps4p MIT domain through different interfaces. These observations support the model that Vps4 substrates are initially recruited by an MIM-MIT interaction that activates the Vps4 central pore to engage substrates and generate force, thereby triggering ESCRT-III disassembly.  相似文献
